Property insurance
Property insurance covers all items in your rented property, such as furniture, white goods, electronic equipment, antiques, valuable heirlooms, jewelry, etc. You will be reimbursed up to €50,000 in the event of flood, fire or theft.
Liability insurance
You are insured against damage caused by you and your family members to third parties and their property. Tenants’ liability insurance covers damages up to €1,250,000. Regardless of whether they were caused by you, your child or your dog.
Personal accident insurance
A permanent health detriment is the occurrence of an illness or injury that permanently restricts our bodily functions and affects our ability to carry out our daily activities. Such damage to health should also be considered irreversible. The insurance is valid throughout the European Union. You can obtain up to €25,000 of protection in the event of an accident and €5,000 in the event of death.

The tenant package includes 3 important insurances if you live in the Netherlands: liability insurance, contents insurance, and accident insurance. For example, damage you accidentally cause to another person and your valuables in your rental home are insured up to 50,000 euros. There is also coverage in case of disability (max 25,000 euros) or death (5,000 euros) due to an accident.
The tenant package is not mandatory but it is wise. With the tenant package you have three important insurances for a very competitive price: legal liability, contents and accidents from 16 euros per month.
This insurance is for you, your family members and other household members. Domestic servants (such as an au pair, gardener or maid) are also insured. Household members are (foster and step) children, lodgers and unmarried family members who live with you as a family.
