In the Netherlands, years of clame-free driving abroad count towards years of driving and not a percentage discount as in different countries abroad.
In order for discounts for claim-free driving to be calculated, the interval between insurance in a foreign country and in the Netherlands must not be longer than 36 months.

In order for the certificate of your vehicle’s insurance history to be accepted by the Dutch insurance company, it must meet certain conditions:
– The document must not be older than 12 months.
– The details of the person insuring the car must appear on the certificate.
– The certificate should cover the entire insurance history of the vehicle, not just the last policy. If the car has been insured with different companies, certificates from all these insurers may be required.
